Shortcut Doctor checks Windows for missing program shortcuts and either retargets or deletes those that are no longer linked to the programs. After performing a scan the program gives users the option to remove or resolve invalid shortcuts by searching and associating these shortcuts to the correct drives or directories.
The interface consists of a single window where you can find all necessary options and tools. Some options include filters to exclude or ignore shortcut files based on their physical location on the disk.
Shortcut Doctor has the advantage over Windows Shortcut Fixer in using different search methods through which it is capable of finding shortcuts. And even if they are found in the recycle bin or with missing parameters, they will be fixed.
In addition users will discover a function that helps create shortcuts from scratch by specifying the path/file name for the .lnk file to make, the path to the program to launch, and any special command line parameters for that program.
